H3 is representative of the importance I find in family and one generation leading the next. H standing for the middle initial shared with my father, son and myself. Prior to 2011 when looking at myself professionally I was not satisfied in the direction I was going. After years of hoping for change or just the right job to come along I decided it was time to create my own destiny. As scary as it was to be on my own without a paycheck to rely on, I thought it would be far more disappointing to not ever try. So with a push from my wife, I put faith in myself and my abilities and embraced the creative venture H3 Designs.

Being an example for my kids not to be afraid to do your own thing has proven to be more rewarding than I knew. Along with more freedom and time to spend with my kids, I have have been able to continually expand on the services I can offer. I continue to be able to work with and meet new people and build bonds I have with clients that have been with me since I started. If you have a project or something that requires graphic design work, I would encourage you to reach out to me via email, I would love to hear from you and see how I can help you out.

Above are some of the mock ups of the H3 logo before the current was envisioned. H3 Designs is not my first go at forming my own design company. Back early in 2005 when I was just beginning to gain my confidence working in the suburbs of Detroit I figured I would have a go at being a freelance designer. I played off my initials, CP, to call it Creative Prognosis. I had toyed with the idea of just something simple like Pastotnik Design, but I never really had been much for using my name. Not having the business experience necessary to make much of it and not really focusing on gaining business or self promotion resulted in little work from some family and friends.  That was not to say it wasn’t worth it as it planted a seed in my head that kept me unsettled until I revisited my passion to be able to work independently.
